Samson Q2U looks like a great budget option. You'll never get as high of quality doing straight USB instead of XLR with a pre-amp, but as far as USB mics go for under $100, this one is good. If you do decide to go for a higher quality option, I've heard great things about the RODE Podmic. It's a great entry level dynamic cardioid xlr mic.
