I use an xbox one controller and also an xbox360 controller, i actually prefer the 360 controller. These controllers plug and play and are instantly automapped for gta. Though the xbox one controller might need a better driver because you can get severe input lag on the xbox one controller without a certain special xboxone controller driver.
Auto-Aim will keep lock onto a target if you move the reticle around and allows you to auto-aim from vehicles. I do the same, and have had similar issues. & sometimes Franklin will 'look back' instead of activating his special ability when both thumb sticks are pressed together. Problem usually reverts to normal if I restart the game, swap characters or reload a previous savegame. It's more random for me. I use an Xbox One wireless controller.

I know normally we could simply press L3 + R3 (i.e. pressing left + right joystick). However, how do you activate this special ability on standard FPS mode?
