Good news for mmi problem sufferers. I had constant minor issues with my mmi, found some workarounds and then the ‘waiting to initialize’ problem began and workarounds stopped working. I went to my dealer 8/2/12 and he told me he received an update from Audi a few days before and believes it will solve the whole mmi issue. HE WAS RIGHT.

Guys, The MAP update issue is a major rabbit hole, however you can update your MMI so that you can get "Unlimited Map Updates" for your vehicle. The process to do this without going to Audi is quiet involved, includes multiple steps including firmware changes to your MMI. In fact, Audi recommend users to get the update via the MMI. You can probably find a map update torrent somewhere but do you really want to risk it on your car? Hi everyone, I just updated from a 2005 Audi A6(C6) to 2013 Audi A6 Prestige(C7). I just wanted to check if there is a possibility of getting the 4G on my 3g+ MMI.
