Most E60's came with an 850 cca battery from the factory. They are no longer available, but now we're replacing them with the black AGM battery, which is 900 cca. The most important thing is to register the battery when it's replaced. This must be done at a dealer, or independant shop with dealer level software.
2003 530i. Voltage all over the place from 11.7 to 15.4. Overcharged the battery and could smell the acid boiling off. Engine light, dsc light, blew head lights and fog lights. Bad alternator. OEM specs are BMW 61.21.8.381.762, USA 729905-10, EN 12V 90Ah 720A, SAE 160 RC 720 CCA. Aftermarket batteries are Duralast 49-DL , Duralast 94-R, NAPA #7549, Deka 649MF, Interstate MTP-93; must have side vent and a stamped date code within the last couple of months.
The e39 shares all but 1 of the 3 major wheel specs with the other BMW 5/6/7/8/Z8 modelsand as others have statedits the 74.1mm wheel hub/center bore. But the other specs are the same for all 5/6/7/8/Z8 models: 5x120mm wheel bolt pattern. 11mm-28mm wheel offset range (you're not just stuck with 20mm wheel offset only)
